Don't remove anything, just do the above install to see if it works.
What about the current install of OpenOffice?
I have remove all other java-runtimes but I have the idea it is not a must.
Well, I had read another post where there seemed to be a problem with OpenOffice accessing the wrong Java. When all other Javas were removed, AOO finally selected the correct one. But I decided to go all the way with Linux, because AOO for Windows wasn’t finding Java at all. When I switched to Linux I installed AOO, then when I went to select the Java AOO had already found it and was using it. So I am pretty sure it isn’t a Java problem either. But there wasn’t any reason to have three Java installations, and the LibreOffice Java just had to go because of LO conflicting with AOO. I only have one Java installed now and all the programs seem to be fine with that.
