Some advice on what might be causing the 'Skia issue' was given to me at the bug report I made. It was said that I may need to update the system graphics driver. After much ado in an area I'm not familiar with I found a driver update at the motherboard manufacturer's website, Asus. Installed that updated driver and voilà! Skia is now working fine in LibreOffice. And I have recorded this in the bug report I made.
If I'm allowed space to gripe I have to say that this is a brand new PC I'm working in and the builders of the system said in their delivery technical notes, "We have installed the latest version of Windows 11 along with all relevant drivers." This turns out not to be the case and I have several other driver updates that I need to install. Damn, builders! I will never buy from them again.
In any case, thanks for the help Hagar, appreciated. I'm glad I got that 'Skia problem' solved. And in doing so there is no ongoing '+Issue' so I'll change the title of this thread to remove that. :0)
